5:30AM: Earliest morning (and only day with an alarm clock) on this trip. It was about a 30 minute walk from our place in Potts Point to the harbour.
12:00PM: Grabbed some lunch on our way back to grab our swimsuits and headed to the Kings Cross Station (just a 5 minute walk from the apartment). The tram system was much like Thailand so we had very little trouble finding our way to the Bondi Junction.
1:30PM: Opted out of taking the bus the rest of the way to Bondi Beach (the line was forever long) so we explored the streets and walked the 30-40 minutes down to the beach. There were tons of shops and restaurants along the way and the streets were packed with people!
2:00PM: If you think Galveston beach is busy for the 4th of July, you should see Bondi Beach in December! I'm pretty sure that there wasn't enough real estate in the dry sand for one more person.
3:00PM: We took the recommend walk from Bondi to Bronte beach, stopping along the way to watch people and more importantly, dogs, playing amongst the rocky shore. We forgot to pack sun screen and strangely enough, there wasn't a store in sight to purchase any from... Needless to say, we didn't spend any time in the sand at Bronte.
5:00PM: We grabbed a bite to eat at GoodTimes Burger before catching the tram back to Kings Cross ($4 per person each way and only about a 10 minute ride).
7:30PM: Tyler had a few friends from Lindenwood in Sydney for New Year's so we headed down to the Opera Bar. What a sweet place! Live music, awesome views and full of people.
12:30AM: We both fall asleep as soon as our head hits the pillow.
A perfect way to start the beginning of the end...
Of 2015, of course!
Will edit this post with more pictures from Tyler's phone later.
XOXO
Elissa
